Chocolate Bark Recipes

One of my favorite things about chocolate bark is the versatility of it.

Need a last-minute hostess gift? Take five minutes before getting ready for dinner and stir together a batch of chocolate bark.

It will harden in the fridge in less than an hour. Slice it, bag or box it, and you’ll have a one of a kind gift that everyone will love.

Need a quick dessert? Chill a batch in the refrigerator before dinner and break it apart as you brew some coffee or pour wine after dinner.

Candy Making

While we were in Ecuador with World Vision earlier this year, we helped the women we met make candies to sell.

Living here in the states, it’s easy to take for granted the conveniences found in most kitchens: a microwave, refrigerator, stovetop, and oven – not to mention easily accessible clean drinking water from the faucets in our homes.

World Vision Trip to Ecuador 2019

I was reminded of my time in Ecuador while I made this super easy recipe for Christmas candy. The fact that I am able to make something this delicious and simple in so little time isn’t lost on me right now.

In my mind, food and togetherness are forever linked. I love sharing meals and snacks with friends and this Fruit and Nut Bark is a perfect hostess gift you can make in batches to gift to friends when you visit them over the holidays.

There are many food-related ways to give through World Vision’s Gift Catalog such as providing a family with a goat or chickens. I encourage you to choose the one that inspires you, feature it in your holiday meal, and give back as part of your family tradition!
